Kontorelev (Business support apprentice) – to the most international company in the world!

Do you want an education while gaining work experience?

We are looking for a new Business support apprentice to join our Business support team in our Hub located at Copenhagen Airport. The Performance & Business Support team supports our business of 550 employees. Are you eager to join one of the biggest companies in the world? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

YOUR ROLE IN THE TEAM

You will play an important role in the Performance, Programs & Public Affairs Team where you will be working together with eleven dedicated colleagues. During your education you will spend most of your time in the Performance Programs and Public Affairs department, and based on your wishes, you will attend school 7-12 weeks during your two years. Besides the mandatory courses (hovedforløb), your education is based on the elective courses (valgfag) you choose.

You will work with a broad range of tasks within the different areas of work in the department:

Service Quality – Focused on the management of business targets and customer expectations through Key Performance Indicators, Balanced Scorecards, and other mechanisms. Here the focus is on data collection, presentation of performance, root cause analysis, and improvement planning.

Continuous Improvement - Focus on sustained improvement of performance in the business using the DHL Group program, First Choice: A program that is dedicated to a focused and sustainable way of working, using some of the classic Lean methodologies along with other improvement levers.

Quality Management systems - Focus on implementation and maintenance of Quality management systems within the business. Both the well-known ISO certification and DHL dedicated systems are in scope here.

Health and Safety - Focus on the management of all aspects of Health and Safety within the business.

During your first year, you will get to experience and work in all four areas. In your second year, you will get the possibility to specialize in one of them. This will elevate your knowledge, and help your in your work.

We see that you have a curiosity and passion for learning, and we’ll do our best to provide you with a well-equipped toolbox of continuous improvement tools.

This will help you in your work with both data analysis and reporting leading to our ICCC (Insanely Centric Customer Centricity) actions and processes. You will be involved in the end-to-end process where you will be working to identify potential performance improvements in our business areas. Therefore, you must have an interest in process optimization. The required training will be provided, and the Performance and Business Support team will always be here to support you.

To work at DHL, you will have to present a clean police record and go through an enhanced background check with the police.

YOUR SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

You have finished HHX, STX, HTX, or similar education. Previous work experience is an advantage.

You have a sense of structure and you are naturally drawn to optimization and problem solving. You are able to change focus when incidents occur, which will help you adapt to business needs. You understand data, and you are not afraid to ask questions and challenge views to get a deeper understanding of the bigger picture. You enjoy working with others, and will use your people skills when interacting and cooperating with managers and employees at all levels in the organization to clarify the potential for improvement in the business processes. We seek an individual with an open mind and humble approach. This is important, and will help you navigate in our international environment where communication in both English and Danish is used daily. You will need to be fluent in Danish, and have great English skill, both orally and written. You are a capable IT user with a great interest in data stratification and visualization. You have a flair for IT and systems, and can easily learn and navigate in new applications.

We see that you have great experience working with MS Office applications.
